Beverly Ashdown – Education Director
Beverly Ashdown began her career as a nail technician nearly 20 years ago. Through her commitment to excellence in esthetic services and continuing education, she has grown her business from a one-woman operation into Beverly Ashdown Day Spa and Laser Centre, Saskatoon’s premier day spa, which today employs a staff of 17. Her business offers the finest in gel nails, a luxury pedicure spa suite, and esthetic services recognized throughout the industry as second to none.
Beverly directs all training and education offered by Can-West Agencies in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Under her leadership, Can-West’s education division has helped to educate and train hundreds of beauty professionals to her high standard. Through her commitment to continuing education, Beverly has raised the bar for esthetics services throughout the Prairies and beyond. Her reputation for quality education has taken her to the U.S. and the U.K., as she has been contracted by peer salon owners to offer advanced training to their staff. Beverly continues to enrich her own skills and those of her staff, and is proud to add the latest services and technologies as the esthetics industry advances.
Lisa Evans
Lisa Evans was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewa. She completed her Estheticians’ Certificate from Marca College in 1999. Lisa began her career right after in different salon and spas. She has a great work ethic and postivie attitue. She loves to learn about all the new and upcoming things this industry has to offer. She began wroking for Can-West’s Education Department in 2009. Lisa teaches Nails 101, Manicures, Pedicures, Waxing and private lessons. She loves working with people and knowing that she has the ability to teach people how to do the things that she’s so passionate about doing, Esthetics. Lisa admires the unlimited knowledge about this industry you can learn and is very excited about what the future holds.
Olga Palylyk
Can-West is proud to offer classes with Olga Palylyk, Amore’s senior international educator. As a working nail technician, Olga has been using Amore Ultima Gels for 6 years, and has been an international educator with this product line for the past 4. She has always made it her priority to find products that allow her to do the best work in the shortest length of time possible. Amore Ultima was her product of choice when she won the prestigious Mirror Award – The Canadian Nail Technician of the Year for 2006. She is pleased to share her secrets with you about a gel line that she feels will enhance your business as it has her own.
Gordon Ashdown
Gordon has been with Can-West since the begining. He creates a firm foundation and stabilty that a company needs to grow and expand at a steady pace. His wealth of business knowledge gives Can-West the edge it needs to be on the cutting edge of the spa and esthetic industry.
Susan Sydlowski
Susan has been with Can-West for the past couple of years and currently is part of our management team. She has been a certified esthetician for nine years and has owned and operated three separate day spa locations during this time. Her mission is to update her education whenever necessary in this ever changing, exciting industry.
Vanessa
Vanessa has been with Can-West for the past couple of years and currently is part of our show room sales staff. She has been a certified nail technician for the past 12 years. She loves to experiment on some of the new great color gel that we have in stock.
Nicole
Nicole has been with Can-West for just over a year and is a perfect fit with our show room sales staff. She has been a certified nail technician and a certified esthetician for the past 3 years. Nicole is also our coordinator for our education classes.
Alia
Alia is the newest addition to the Can-West team. She is She has been a certified nail technician and a certified esthetician for the past couple of years.

Rob is under contract with Can-West to provide IT, Graphic and Web design. Rob helps Can-West meet their goals by planning, designing, developing and operationalizing their marketing and business needs. Rob is the bridge between practical and technological. Besides that he is an addict for the latest geek toys.
